This project is about Oseberg B jacket. This steel jacket was installed in 1987. The main fabrication contractor was Norconsult/McDermott, with the jacket built at Aker Verdal north of Trondheim. Linked to the A platform by a bridge, Oseberg B is used for drilling, production and water injection.
The location of the Oseberg is about 130 km north-west of Bergen.
DDC drilled the conductor piles for drilling and injection proposes. For the first time the PBA 810 was used. Still today these machines are operating all over the world.
