Project: Caucedo Quay Wall

The container terminal is one of the biggest container terminals in the Caribbean. To facilitate the biggest container vessels the quay wall has to be extended.

The quay is a combi wall consist of drilled piles and in-between sheet piles. The soil consisted of old coral. Mota Engil used and installation frame, to place the piles in position. DDC drilled the piles out and created an rock socket. After drilling rebar was placed and the piles were concreted.
