Project: Jackets Qatar

(Relief Drilling, underreaming , 5 jackets (6 legs) with main pile OD 72, drill dia 1600)

The installation campaign consist of five jackets. The jackets consist of six legs. At each location first the piles were installed and then hammered. On some locations there was refusal. DDC drilled with their own rig and with the drill rig of McDermott. First the soil inside the pile was removed and some meters under the pile was drilled. Then the piles were hammered to target depth. This method is also called drive, drill, drive.
