Project: LTA2, Jacket installation campaign

Saipem has his own drill rig PBA 818, which was stored for a long time. DDC advised how to make the drill rig operational. Also a bottom hole assembly was designed by DDC. 

The drill rig was standby for 19 jackets in case of refusal. For two jackets refusal occurred and the foundation piles had to be drilled before the insert piles could be installed. DDC drillers operated the drill rigs with assistance of Saipem personnel. The jacket piles were inclined. The longest drill string length was 115 meter.
